One Room

One Room is a consultancy that helps senior leadership teams in UK financial services, insurance, utilities and infrastructure run their transformation programmes from a single shared room. We design and coach Obeya, the leadership practice where the whole programme is made visible on one wall, so that decisions, risks and progress are seen by everyone at the same time.

The work is for executives, programme directors and chief operating officers who are accountable for a transformation but find the true picture of it scattered across reports, boards and third parties. Clients use One Room when a programme is slipping, when confidence in delivery is falling, or when they want decisions made faster with fewer layers between the people doing the work and the people accountable for it.

Steve Martin, the lead coach, has spent his career running and rescuing large change programmes. He works with leadership teams directly: setting up the room, coaching the team through its routines, and stepping back once the practice holds on its own.
